#MS MONEY PLUS SUNSET SETTINGS UPDATE#
And every time you want to update the workbook with the latest transactions, just click the Update button and get the latest snapshot of your transactions and accounts without ever leaving Excel. You no longer need to spend hours manually setting up a personal finance spreadsheet from scratch Money in Excel does it for you in just a few seconds.
If I get a chance to dig down deeper into the diffs I will report back.Once your financial accounts 3 are connected, Money in Excel will automatically import your transaction information from all your accounts into one workbook. I haven't had a chance to investigate further.ĭoes anyone know if it is possible to disable networking for a bottle? I'm wondering if the failed update on first run is corrupting the bottle.Īs an aside, Money 2000 seems to be working perfectly. A diff of the Bottle before starting Money for the first time compared with the Bottle after the first run suggests that it is changes in the system.reg, user.reg and userdef.reg files that might be at fault. However, as stated above, the next time I open it, the graphics are not working properly but it does seem to be functional. I noticed that if I clicked exit from within the app, it would hang but if I exited via my Mac's menus then it was okay. In the top right hand corner was a spinning wheel and it seemed to be trying to update something. On starting Money, the desktop file was automatically selected and it started up absolutely perfectly and was fully functional. I installed Money into the same bottle. I copied the Money data file I created earlier onto the Bottle's Desktop directory (the internal one, not my Mac's desktop). When the installer finished, I rebooted the bottle and then started IE8 to complete its setup. I disabled any options to update and did not click 'Restart' when prompted. Installed Internet Explorer 8 into a new XP Bottle from here. Disabled Crossover's virus scanner as described here.
#MS MONEY PLUS SUNSET SETTINGS WINDOWS#
Installed Sunset on a Windows VM, created a new Money file and switched off any settings that were concerned with connecting to online services. However, I managed to get around these issues by executing the following steps: Although I'm guessing this is due to the default location for the data file being on the Mac's main file system so it might be a permissions issue. I also got an error to say that the filename contained invalid characters or the disk is read only or full. Even this failed, even though I could log in via Internet Explorer. Whichever option I chose, I was forced to sign in with Windows Live ID. With options for no password, password, or sign in with Windows Live ID. I was given the option to create a new file: I started off by following the instructions in this thread but I experienced several issues (as well as the graphics issue mentioned above). The application installs and seems to be running okay but after exiting the application, the next time the app is opened, the graphics are a bit wonky (but the app seems functional).
